ArtRage Stencil Modes

ArtRage 2, ArtRage 3, ArtRage 4 and ArtRage Lite all include Stencils. Stencils are basically resizable layer masks that can be moved around the image to create patterns, shapes and textures. You can use the default shapes or create your own custom stencils.

Stencils can be set to three different modes: "Stencil" (which simply prevents you painting on an area of canvas), "Ruler" (where your stroke snaps to the edge of the shape, but doesn't colour under it), and "Guide" (where your stroke is guided by the shape, snapping to the edge and also colouring under it).
